Breeder Stock and Managed Locations
We select our bee populations from the most desireable traits within our bee yards and cross them with stock from distant yards or we select breeder stock queens raised in nearby areas to produce hives with the traits necessary for success and sustainability in Central Virginia.

Bees need physical protection
A hungry bear dug a two foot deep hole under a fence to gain access to the nutritious meal these two hives provided. The bees absconded to a nearby tree and were re-hived.
